About Alasdair
Alasdair has been trading in the agriculture sector within the south of Scotland and Northumberland since 1998.
After finishing school, he started working for a local livestock auctioneers and valuers. Shortly before leaving, he went onto qualify to become a member of the Institute of Auctioneers & Valuers in Scotland.
Alasdair joined McCreath Simpson & Prentice as a Farm Trader in 2007 and was made manager of the Feed Department three years later, while continuing to grow a large customer base mainly on mixed livestock and arable farms.
As a livestock feed specialist, Alasdair has a Diploma in Ruminant Nutrition and is on the Feed Advisers Register (FAR), while he also has BASIS and FACTS qualifications.
In 2019, Alasdair was given the management of the Small Seeds Department, making him responsible for the brand’s well-known grass seed mixtures, large forage crop range and ever-expanding environmental mixtures.
