Take a look at the extensive range of products we can supply to help you grow the best possible crops.
Cereal seed
We supply seed for a comprehensive range of combinable crops, including malting barley, feed barley, wheat, oilseed rape, oats and pulses.
In the case of barley, wheat and oats, the seed is grown on contract with specialist growers, then inspected in-field before being analysed and processed at our own state-of-the-art seed production plant in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Fertiliser
We can offer a variety of straights, compounds and blends from our Berwick-upon-Tweed headquarters, which we can supply based on soil analysis our FACTS and BASIS qualified Farm Traders carry out to ensure you have the correct product.
We also have distribution agreements with some of the leading fertiliser brands - including Yara UK and ICL Fertilizers UK - who help us to deliver an excellent fertiliser service.
Agrochemicals
We advise on and supply a vast array of crop protection products from some of the industry's leading manufacturers, including BASF, Bayer, Syngenta, Corteva and FMC.
As we are independent of any single manufacturer, it ensures that we select the best chemistry available for each situation, with everything able to be logged to Muddy Boots' Greenlight Grower Management (GLGM) software.
Grass & small seeds
We can offer an extensive range of grass seed and small seed crops to suit all farming operations, from short and long-term grass seed leys, to game cover, forage crops and environmental mixtures.
Our grass seed mixtures are comprised using only first-choice varieties on the SAC and NIAB recommended lists and, with different varieties from breeders being approved each year, our expert team meet annually to carefully formulate each of the mixtures.
Cover crops
Through our own research and development here at McCreath Simpson & Prentice, as well as working closely with DLF Seeds, we can offer a range of specially formulated cover crop mixtures that will help to improve soil health and fertility between cash crops.
As well as offering a dedicated range of mixtures, we can also provide bespoke mixtures to suit individual requirements.
Livestock feed
From ruminant feeds for rearing, feeding and finishing to the beef, sheep and dairy sectors, we offer a comprehensive range of products within our feed department.
Some members of our expert team are also on the Feed Adviser Register (FAR), meaning we have the capability to conduct silage analysis to identify any potential deficiencies in the ruminant’s diet and then supply a product from our extensive range to ensure we provide the best possible feed solution.
