Cereal seed
Much of the malting barley seed that we sell is purchased back at harvest on prearranged contracts and is used for the production of high-quality malts at our malting division Simpsons Malt.
This gives us the ability to offer traceability from seed to bottle, which is becoming increasingly important to both farmers and end user customers in the distilling, brewing and food industries.
We sell seed for both winter and spring malting barley varieties and, in our position as both a merchant and maltster, we can ensure you are growing a variety that meets end user requirements.
