Oilseed rape is the most profitable break crop and among the most profitable combinable crops a UK farmer can grow. It has also been proven to improve soil conditions, helping to maximise the yield of the cereal crop that follows in the rotation.
Working with some of the UK’s leading plant breeders, we are a major distributor of all leading oilseed rape varieties, which are stocked locally and available for immediate delivery.
Our oilseed rape varieties
ACACIA
Acacia is the highest yielding conventional oilseed rape variety on the AHDB Recommended List, with key agronomic characteristics of strong autumn growth and good spring vigour, solid disease resistance and short, stiff straw, combined with a high oil content.
AURELIA
Aurelia is the outright highest yielding variety in the North region and has strong dynamic growth, offering a wide drilling window and strong spring vigour. It has a robust disease resistance package its tried and tested performance offers superb consistency.
CROME
Crome is a restored hybrid with a Specific Recommendation (Sp) by the AHDB for the UK in 2022/23 for growing on land infected with common strains of clubroot. It has a high gross output and is early flowering with a high yield and good stem stiffness.
DK EXSTAR
DK Exstar combines high yields and oil content with fantastic disease resistance. It has pioneering genetic resistance to pod shattering and the robust initial root and shoot growth enables reliable and even establishment.
DK IMPRINT CL
DK Imprint CL is a hybrid variety with a Specific Recommendation (Sp) by the AHDB for the UK in 2022/23. It has conventionally-bred resistance to Clearfield herbicides for the most effective control of cruciferous weeds and non-Clearfield OSR volunteers.
INCENTIVE 45
Incentive 45 is a hybrid variety and is not only a true all-round performer, but its rapid early establishment also gives it several agronomic advantages. Incentive 45 offers a robust package of grain yield stability, oil content, standing power, disease resistance and ability to withstand pest attack.
