Oilseed rape is the most profitable break crop and among the most profitable combinable crops a UK farmer can grow. It has also been proven to improve soil conditions, helping to maximise the yield of the cereal crop that follows in the rotation.
Working with some of the UK’s leading plant breeders, we are a major distributor of all leading oilseed rape varieties, which are stocked locally and available for immediate delivery.
Our oilseed rape varieties
AURELIA
Aurelia is a high yielding variety in the North region and has strong dynamic growth, offering a wide drilling window and strong spring vigour.
CROME
Crome is a restored hybrid with a Specific Recommendation (Sp) by the AHDB for the UK for growing on land infected with common strains of clubroot. It has a high gross output and is early flowering with good stem stiffness.
DK EXSTAR
DK Exstar combines high yields and oil content with fantastic disease resistance. It has pioneering genetic resistance to pod shattering and the robust initial root and shoot growth enables reliable and even establishment.
LG Adapt
LG Adapt is a hybrid variety that performs well across all regions but is particularly well adapted for the unique conditions of the British Isles. It offers a robust package of pod shatter resistance, good resistance to stem based diseases and very high oil content.
LG Armada
LG Armada is a 'seventh-generation' fully loaded hybrid variety that consistently delivers a strong performance across all UK regions and seasons. It combines an excellent untreated yield potential with very good autumn growth and rapid spring vigour, allowing it to be drilled slightly later than other hybrids.
Crusoe
Crusoe is a restored hybrid AHDB Recommended List variety for growing on land infected with common strains of clubroot. It offers high resistance to stem canker, good resistance to Light leaf spot, good stem stiffness and resistance to lodging. With the added benefit of TuYV resistance, Crusoe provides a reliable option in the clubroot market.
Pi Pinnacle
Pi Pinnacle is a conventional oilseed rape variety that delivers consistent treated outputs throughout the UK and has joint highest treated output in the East/West region. It combines high resistance to Light leaf spot and lodging with very stiff stems at maturity. Its high pod numbers per plant and abundance of seed has helped make the variety the highest yielding conventional OSR variety.
