At McCreath Simpson & Prentice (MSP), we can provide a range of services that complement our extensive product offering.

Advisory service

We offer a comprehensive advisory service which allows you to have access to our growing team of BASIS and FACTS qualified Farm Traders throughout each season.

From the conducting of soil analysis, through to crop recommendations, crop walking and advice on crop nutrition and protection, we have a breadth of expertise combined with a passion to do everything we can to help your business succeed.

Grain trading

We trade a range of combinable crops and have excellent relationships with end users, which includes our malting division Simpsons Malt.

Through this integrated supply chain from seed to bottle, our customers can become members of one of our Growers Groups, growing their crop - in most cases malting barley - for a specific consumer.

These relationships, alongside the range of trading options that we can offer, has helped to make us a reliable, innovative, and professional business partner.

Haulage

With an in-house haulage fleet of around 30 trucks alongside working closely with several trusted haulage partners, our transport team endeavour to provide a swift and efficient haulage service at both the start and end of each season.

The striking livery of our award-winning fleet is recognised throughout our trading area, while the vast majority of the trucks run on HVO, a fuel made from 100% renewable raw materials that has reduced the greenhouse emissions of our fleet by up to 90%.

Grain storage

With more than 450,000 tonnes of grain storage across the United Kingdom, we have significant infrastructure in place - including our vast haulage network - that makes us an ideal partner to move and store your crops post-harvest.

Each of our stores has a laboratory to determine that each wagon load meets the required quality at intake, before the crop is kept under temperature controlled conditions ahead of it being transported to the end user.
